Hey Calvin here,
If you’re looking for the most efficient way of learning guitar chords, then I’m glad you’ve found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading…
Because this is my uncensored story of how I arrived at what I consider to be the ultimate method of learning to play guitar. The ups, the downs, what stuff didn’t work, and finally the one thing that really works for virtually every student who tries to learn to play guitar this way.
You see, I used to teach a lot of private guitar lessons. A common scenario was that I would spend a lesson teaching something new to a student, the student would then go home and forget what they had been taught because they didn’t practice for the next few days, and finally they would have a flurry of activity prior to their next lesson. The problem with this is that they would practice everything wrong, and this would lead to frustration for teacher and student alike.
I decided that what these students needed was a more interactive experience throughout the week so that they could revisit the things they had been taught to make sure they weren’t developing bad habits. Learning guitar chords the wrong way can lead to long-term problems trying to correct things. So I decided to make video tapes of myself that they could take home and work with. This was somewhat successful although it was a lot of work for me, and most of my students were lukewarm about the quality of my videos at best.
Eventually I stumbled across the solution, and the solution is Jamorama. Jamorama is the most popular online guitar course in existence, and it is the most popular for good reason. It gives you written step-by-step lessons, chord shapes, high quality video lessons, and professionally recorded jam tracks. I sent all my students to Jamorama because of the great value it presents, providing much more instruction than I could give them for the cost of one or two lessons, and allowing them to work at their own pace and on their own schedule. And the best thing is that you can try it out free.
So now I really don’t teach guitar lessons any more, but I don’t mind because I know that I am helping more budding guitarists by sending them to Jamorama than I possibly could by teaching them myself. Learning guitar chords has never been easier.
